University of Delaware Department of Music Mission Statement:
[Approved by the Department of Music Faculty on October 12, 1995.]
The Department of Music seeks to provide: 
          1.The best educational opportunities for our music majors’ professional development as 
             performers, educators and scholars. 
          2.The optimal resources for significant musical growth through departmental ensembles, 
             private study and academic music courses available to the general student and others 
             of the University community. 
          3.Opportunities for cultural enrichment to the University community and its 
             constituencies. 
          4.Leadership and support to music educators and other professional musicians in the 
             region.
      


    Graduates of the Department of Music Programs of the University of Delaware will have demonstrated the following:
