Master's Degree Recital
Students may select a recital date for the coming school year during a specified time period at the end of each spring semester.
Students must pass a recital preview at least two weeks prior to the date of the recital. Preparedness of the recital will be reviewed by a committee of three faculty members within the area. The preview should be arranged by the student in conjunction with the applied teacher.
Each Master's degree candidate in the Performance Concentration (Instrumental and Vocal) is entitled to perform the Master's Recital with Faculty Accompanist Julie Nishimura. It is the student's responsibility to check the date with Ms. Nishimura, and to provide the music for the recital in a timely fashion (normally at least six weeks prior to first rehearsal). If a student chooses to perform more than one recital during the course of the Master's degree program, s/he is responsible for obtaining and paying an accompanist for the additional recital(s).
