John Sarro coordinates the Music Management Studies program and teaches Principles of Music Industry Practice and Elements of Music Management. He holds the M.M. degree from the University of Miami, where he studied the music industry under renowned composer/executives Alfred Reed and James Progris. His experience includes work as an arranger, composer, guitarist, artist manager and concert promoter. The most recent concerts have featured headlining artists The Three Sopranos (Cassello, Esperian, Lawrence), Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood. He was co-founder and president of Sound Lab Productions, Inc. -- a commercial music production company -- and has written and produced numerous scores for electronic media, educational institutions, theater and dance.
Mr. Sarro is a member of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA) and the Society for the Preservation of Film Music (a.k.a. Film Music Society -- FMS).
