Heidi I. Sarver, Director of the Fightin' Blue Hen Marching Band, is an Associate Professor at the University of Delaware. She has been on the faculty of the Music Department since 1995. She is the Director of the 300-member Fightin' Blue Hen Marching Band, co-conductor of the Symphonic Band, instructor of the Marching Band Techniques course and C-BAND. She is also a supervisor for student teachers pursuing an undergraduate degree in music education.

She attended the University of Massachusetts/Amherst where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance. Her formers teachers include George N. Parks, Walter C. Chesnut, Malcolm W. Rowell, and Seymour Rosenfeld.

Ms. Sarver is active throughout the northeast as an adjudicator, clinician and guest conductor. She is best known for her work with the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy and the Band Leadership Training program. Most recently she has joined the staff of Bowl Games of America where she has served as adjudicator and production associate at the Sugar and Orange Bowls. She is an avid show designer and has written for numerous high schools in the tri-state area as well as Connecticut and Massachusetts. Her shows are also available on a national level through her association with Marching Show Concepts. Since 1985 she has been the primary show designer for the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, recipient of the Louis C. Sudler Trophy in 1998.

Prior to her appointment, Ms. Sarver was a high school band director in New York and the Assistant Director of Bands at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
