Concert Choir


A mixed chorus dedicated to the artistic performance of great choral works from the Renaissance to the present, directed by Duane Cottrell. Emphasis is also given to the development of sight-reading skills and voice production as related to choral singing. University Singers


An advanced ensemble of women's voices for music majors and other University treble voices with significant musical background and sight–reading skills, directed by Duane Cottrell.  The University Singers rehearses on Monday and Wednesday from 2:30-4:00p.m. in Room 118 of AED. Schola Cantorum


The University of Delaware Schola Cantorum, directed by Paul D. Head, is our town and gown ensemble — a large chorus of University students, faculty and staff, along with members of the local community. This choir specializes in extended works, frequently accompanied by full orchestra. Participants are expected to have had significant previous choral experience, along with excellent sight-reading skills. Admission is open to all University students and community members via audition.
Chorale


The University of Delaware Chorale, directed by Paul D. Head, is the most select ensemble in the University of Delaware Department of Music. Consisting primarily of music majors, this ensemble also has the most demanding performance schedule. Admission is open to all University students by audition, which are usually held at the end of spring semester for membership in the following academic year.
