Department of Music activities are housed in the centrally-located Amy E. du Pont Music Building, which contains classrooms and teaching studios, rehearsal and practice rooms, special laboratories for electric piano and music education, two professional classical recording studios, a music resources center, and the 440-seat Loudis Recital Hall. The recently restored Bayard Sharp Hall houses the Jefferson Music gallery and custom-built Dobson pipe organ.

Center For The Arts

In addtion the Department of Music also utilizes The Center for Arts, which opened in the fall of 2006, and houses the 450-seat Thompson Theatre; a Studio Theatre, which seats up to 150; the 200-seat Gore Recital Hall; and the Puglisi Orchestra Hall, which seats up to 300. In addition, there 32 individual music practice rooms for student use.
