Audition Requirements
Etudes and Solos must be taken from the list below or be the equivalent in difficulty to those listed below. Please contact Professor Gythfeldt to get approval to play any audition repertoire that is not listed here.

- Henri Rabaud contest Piece (Solo de Concours)
- Willson Osborne Rhapsody

- Vaughan-Williams Six Studies in English Folksong
- Cavallini Andante and Tarantella
- SCALES
- All clarinetists will be expected to play all majors scales ? two octaves and three octaves (where possible) eighth notes with the quarter note equal to 120 beats\minute. Also a three-octave chromatic scale. All scales slurred or tongued.
- All Applied Music Majors will be expected to play all majors and minor scales ? two octaves (where possible) ? eighth notes with the quarter note equal to 120 beats/minute. Also a three octave chromatic scale, E to E. All scales slurred or tongued.
