Audition Requirements
Music Education Major
- ETUDES - one from the following:
- Fourteen Characteristic Studies from the Arban Book
- SOLO - one from the following:
- Balay, Petite Piece Concertante (Hickman Music Editions)
- Clarke, Debutante (Hickman Music Editions)
- Clarke, Sounds from the Hudson (Hickman Music Editions)
- Clarke, Stars in the Velvety Sky (Hickman Music Editions)
- Cools, Solo de Concours (Leduc Editions Musicales)
- Goedicke, Concert Etude (Hickman Music Editions)
- Ropartz, Andante et Allegro (Hickman Music Editions)
- SCALES
- All major scales - two octaves (where possible) - eighth notes with the quarter note equal to 60 beats a minute
- Chromatic scale two octaves
- All scales slurred and/or tongued as requested
Applied Music Major
