I Heart UD Giving Day starts Wednesday, May 5 att 12:01 a.m. and ends Wednesday, May 5 at 11:00 p.m.

On I Heart UD Giving Day, we’re calling on thousands of Blue Hens around the world to flock together, fluff their feathers and strut with blue and gold pride, and to collectively make a lasting impact  on the University for generations to come.

Hourly Challenges

To increase the value of your gift of any size, please consider giving to UD Music projects during UD President Dennis Assanis's Hourly Challenges. A prize for the group that has the largest number of gifts for a given hour. 

Hourly challenge funds range from $750-$4,000 per hour, starting at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, continuing through 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night.


10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
6 p.m. to 7 p.m.


Thanks to the generosity of the UD Board of Trustees, for every gift of $1,000 or more made to any project, an additional $1,000 will be awarded to that project (maximum $50K to be awarded across all projects). 


8 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Thanks to the generous support of the Board of Trustees, every gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000.

UDSO Cultural Fusion Initiative: Nigeria

Help the UD orchestra program launch their innovative Cultural Fusion Initiative: Nigeria Project!

This multi-phased year-long program begins with a world premiere film presentation by acclaimed Nigerian director Tunde Kelani, accompanied by the UD Chamber Orchestra, and concludes with a multi-media international tour featuring Grammy-nominated artist Femi Kuti and the Positive Force Band, backed by the UD Symphony Orchestra, along with select student musicians from Nigerian universities.

Wind Ensemble WASBE: Prague

Help open the doors to the world for a music student today with the WASBE: Prague Project!

The UD Wind Ensemble is one of only 8 chosen from many international applicants who have won the invitation to play for the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) in Prague, Czech Republic, in the summer of 2022. Your gift will help pave the way to Prague for a student's travel and accommodation costs. We believe that music opens the doors to the world!
