Brian Brown is an adjunct professor of tuba and euphonium at the University of Delaware, Rowan University and The College of New Jersey, and a lecturer at Princeton University. Mr. Brown earned his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School. His major teachers include David Powers, Paul Krzywicki, Don Harry, Donald Harwood, Vincent Penzarella and John Fletcher.

Mr. Brown is currently principal tuba of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra (DSO), Orchestra Lumos and The Philly Pops. He is a founding member of the Timberdale Brass Quintet. As an active freelance musician, Mr. Brown has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Philadelphia Ballet Orchestra, Orchestra 2001 and the Opera Company of Philadelphia, among others. Mr. Brown is the tuba player for NFL films and has recorded with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestra 2001 and for the Vox and Tomato record labels.

Various concerts have included performances with Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Mel Torme, Jack Jones, Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, and the rock groups The Who and The Moody Blues. As a soloist, Mr. Brown has performed with the DSO, The College of New Jersey Wind Ensemble, the Rowan University Wind Ensemble and Orchestra Lumos.

Mr. Brown has conducted lectures and master classes throughout the United States including The Eastman School of Music, The Curtis Institute, West Chester University and the Odessa Ukraine Conservatory.​
