You may schedule non-degree recitals beginning June 1 for the following academic year.
The standard fee to hold a non-degree recital is $200, to be paid by the end of the drop/add period of the semester in which it is held. This fee covers the use of the venue and the stage crew in most situations. In addition to any applicable fees from the "COST" section, other charges may be incurred –
if extra crew is required to cover extra staging, lighting or technical support outside the realm of our typical recitals. Generally, our standard size crew can handle most recitals. Use of audio or video playback or a microphone will definitely incur charges.
if the piano needs to be tuned specifically for your recital. The venue pianos are tuned regularly during each semester, and you may not need an additional tuning. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you are unsure and someone will get back to you quickly. A tuning specifically for a non-degree recital is $100.
All fees should be paid when your Event Forms are submitted at least 3 weeks before your non-degree recital. You may pay by check which can be dropped off at the Music Department front desk (209 AED) during business hours on weekdays to the attention of John Alt. Department sponsored programs are not provided for non-degree recitals. If you choose to make your own program, you are responsible for creating it, obtaining faculty approval and copying the program yourself. Programs may not be copied in the Music Department office.
