Recital Fee Payment

All Course Fees are due at the beginning of the semester by the add/drop deadline - no matter when your recital is to be held.

Course Fees can be paid online or checks may be dropped off at the Music Department front desk (209 AED) during business hours on weekdays.

If you would like to pay with cash, please email musicevents@udel.edu​ to make an appointment to pay in person.

Degree Recital Course Fee: $150

Fee helps to offset the costs of providing stage crew, livestreaming, and tuning pianos for all recitals. The actual cost of each individual recital is actually much more than $150. This fee must be paid no matter where your recital is held, whether or not you have a program, use a piano or what the particulars of your recital are. Everyone must pay the course fee for their Degree Recital at the beginning of the semester before add/drop. Fee can be paid online via the "Current Students" section of the website or via check in the Music Department office (209 AED) to the attention of John Alt. If you would like to pay with cash, please email musicevents@udel.edu to make an appointment to meet in person.

Non-degree Recital Fee: $200

Any recital that is not required for your degree is considered a non-degree recital. For a joint Non-degree Recital, each participant will only be charged $150.

Additional Piano Fee: $95

The Recital Fee covers the cost of using one piano in your recital. If you need an additional piano, the fee is $95 to cover the additional tuning.

Harpsichord Fee: $300

If the Harpsichord is not your primary instrument, the fee to add use of the Harpsichord to your recital is $300 to cover the additional tunings and moving the instrument.

Technical Support: $75

If your recital requires technical support of any kind, a fee of $75 will be required. This fee covers technical support for your recital and one dress rehearsal. You must confirm your dress rehearsal date with the Event Technician.​

Dress Rehearsal Support: $50

If you require crew support of any kind at your dress rehearsal, a fee of $50 is assessed.

Optional Audio Recording: $75​

If you would like the Department to audio record your recital, the fee is $100. You will be provided you with a MP3 file and a wav file delivered electronically. One CD is available by request. Additional CD copies are $10 each..

Optional Video Editing: $100

If you would like the Department to edit the freely provided video recording of your recital the fee is $100. Edited video footage will be tightened up with empty spaces removed and have titles and credits. Edited video package is often suitable for graduate school applications.​ Recording fees can be paid at www.udel.edu/recording-fees

​Non-Degree Recital fees and additional fees necessary for your recital (technical, extra equipment, etc.)  cannot be paid online and must be paid with cash or check.  Recital and recording fees may be paid online or via check or cash.
