Students will not be permitted to attend their placement if these clearances are not completed in a timely manner. The Office of Clinical Studies (OCS) can assist you with TB and criminal background history clearances. The OCS website describes the services that they provide, and information related to field experiences. For more information visit http://www.ocs.udel.edu/clearances.
All students taking a course with a field placement must have a cleared TB test on file with Student Health Services at Laurel Hall before the first day of the placement. In addition, all student teachers must have a TB test within nine months of their student teaching placement according to state law. For more information, please visit http://www.ocs.udel.edu/clearances/tb-test.
All students taking a course with a field placement must have a valid criminal background clearance (CBC) on file in the Office of Clinical Studies by the first day of the semester. If you do not have a valid CBC on file by the first day of the semester, then you will be instructed to drop your course(s) with a field placement.
