Financial Aid is available to those that cannot
afford the cost of lessons or classes with UD CMS at full cost. At CMS, we
understand that there are many reasons why you might not currently be able to
afford our programs, and we are happy to help when we can.
Financial
Aid awards are given on an annual basis per minor student and are contingent
upon
re-enrolling for each separate session (fall, winter, spring, summer) during the academic year.
Financial aid
is available for one class, camp, or set of lessons per (18 and under) student per
session. Continued receipt of financial aid is contingent
upon timely completion of online registration each session, punctual
arrival to scheduled lesson times, and efficient communication with
instructors.*
All pages of the UD CMS Confidential Application for Financial Aid (CMS-CAFA) must be completed once per year
to remain eligible and all additional documents must be included. If you
cannot include all the documents as requested or your situation is unique,
please include a letter of explanation. Financial aid awards are based
upon the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines.**
For those with a household income of 150% or less than the
FPL, the first ten registrants per year are eligible to receive a 95%
financial aid discount. Awards are granted on a first-come-first-serve
basis each year and are based upon the date of the receipt of the CMS
registration (and completed CMS-CAFA). Once ten applicants have been
awarded the 95% discount in a year, any additional applicants are
eligible for the following discounts: 150% FPL - 50% discount; 133%
FPL - 60% discount; 100% FPL - 75% discount.
Applicants
with a total household income of 200% of the FPL are eligible for a 35%
discount. Applicants that make more than 200% of FPL may be ineligible for
discount.
If you need assistance for a minor child to participate please do complete an application. Even if you do not meet the FPL guidelines, we may be able to help. We want all children who wish to participate to be able to do so.
