Music Management Studies

The music management studies minor examines the theory and practice of core principals in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors of music. No audition is required to add this minor.

Jazz Studies Minor

The jazz studies minor includes an exploration of the history of jazz and provides the student with the harmony and improvisation skills used in jazz performance. Audition is required. To request an audition, please contact Professor Tom Palmer. Audition requirements Ensemble placement is by audition each semester. Musical Studies Minor

The musical studies minor provides a breadth of music theory, composition, history, and literature, plus the optional participation in School of Music ensembles. No audition is required to add this minor. 

Applied Music Minor

The applied music minor allows a student to take up to four semesters of vocal or instrumental private study plus courses in theory, music history, piano class and ensemble performance. Audition is required for acceptance as an applied music minor. To request an audition, please email musicadmissions@udel.edu. Include your UDID and primary instrument. Composition Minor

The composition minor is only available to music majors. An interview with composition faculty is required.​
