​​​​Ariel Weiss is a certified Alexander Technique teacher who has nurtured a lively private practice in Philadelphia since 1988. Trained as a dancer and choreographer, she delights in helping musicians learn to move freely in service of their music. In addition to her private practice, Ariel has coached musicians at The Curtis Institute of Music since 1998 and also coordinates a wellness program for ENT surgeons at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She teaches 3 weekly classes online and created the Move Free, Play Free video course and Facebook group for musicians.​

Previously, Ariel trained teachers at the Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique, co-produced the Freedom to Make Music conference and taught for the Santa Fe Opera, Well-Balanced Pianist and as adjunct faculty at University of the Arts, Allentown College and the Boyer School of Music at Temple University and as a guest artist-in-residence at Eastern Carolina University. She presented her TEDx talk Posture myth-busting: it’s easier than you think in 2021.​

Ariel is a certified teaching member and Sponsor for Alexander Technique International and a member of Alexander Technique Liberation Project and Alexander Technique Teachers of Greater Philadelphia.
