Newly appointed University of Delaware jazz guitar instructor Dave Bozenhard is a multi-faceted guitarist and teacher. Mr. Bozenhard received his Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance under Christiaan Taggart at University of Delaware. He settled in Philadelphia where he later received a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of the Arts, and he has since taught and performed in many musical styles and settings. 

As a freelance musician/guitarist, over the years Mr. Bozenhard has worked and/or recorded with singer songwriter Lili Añel, acoustic chamber ensemble One Alternative, jazz fusion bands Mars Apes and Fusionhaus, contemporary big band Slowbern, and various wedding/jazz/rock/blues bands.

In recent years Mr. Bozenhard has been selected as composer-in-residence for a run of performances with Red Cedar Chamber Music in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; performed with Opera Philadelphia on the world premiere of the critically acclaimed debut of the modern opera Breaking The Waves; and, with flutist Kate Ambacher, has commissioned new works for flute and classical guitar, as well as solo classical guitar, from Philadelphia-based composer Norman David. Mr. Bozenhard also performs with the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society Concert Ensemble and is enjoying life with his wife and newborn son.
