John Alt is an Events Manager for the College of Arts and Sciences. Most of his duties support the School of Music and the Center for the Arts. He oversees backstage staff, front of house staff and box office operations. In addition, he is responsible for ensuring that recitals and large ensemble concerts have the proper equipment and technology available according to the needs of the artist(s). Mr. Alt oversees Arts and Sciences spaces when they are used by other departments for lectures, receptions and dinners. He works closely with the Master Players Concert Series on logistics for their concert series. Mr. Alt is also involved with summer programs for the Community Music School. He was co-designer of their Meet the Instruments camp and continues to help supervise and staff summer camps.​
